Performing Group

The County Youth Performing Group represents the County at regional and national dance events.

Price £420.00 a term. (9.5 hours of training a week)

All students aged 10 and over that have attended weekly Ballet (x2), Tap, Commercial Dance and Modern Theatre classes can audition to join the group. If successful, students join on an apprenticeship which gives them an opportunity to experience the commitment and work needed to be an Essex Dance Theatre performer. 

Training is intensive and students must be available for:

  • working every Sunday in term time
  • regional performances
  • a national tour
  • a residential course

Residential Dance course,  

Students spend a week working with professional dancers and choreographers on the dance programme for the year ahead.
